Ephesians - Sermon Study #3

Part of being human is knowing how limited you are, there are certain things we just cannot control, other people being high on that list. Paul, lived with this reality too. Even though he planted the church in Ephesus and saw the Holy Spirit move powerfully there, he knew that things could easily and quickly change. He worried that the church he helped plant could have fallen. This is why he bursts into a prayer of thankfulness when he hears about their faith and love. It's also why he prays that they might continue, that their faith and love would grow as their understanding of God, his power and his purpose for them grew also.
